  1. Better Days Are Coming Inc. is committed to finding the best possible permanent home for the dogs in the rescue program. To this end, the following adoption policies will be followed:
  2. All applicants for adoption must complete an adoption application, either online or in printed copy.
  3. All applicants must submit to personal and vet reference checks and home visits.
  4. Dogs will only be placed into adoptive homes within a 100 miles of Buffalo.
  5. A non-refundable adoption donation is required and a legally binding adoption agreement must be signed at the time a dog is placed. Adoption donations are not negotiable and payment must be made in full prior to or at the time of placement of the dog.
  6. Applicants must provide veterinary and personal references and contact veterinary facilities to authorize release of their records to a Better Days Are Coming Inc.  representative upon request.
  7. Potential adoptive homes with other dogs or cats that are not spayed or neutered will not be considered unless there are verified medical reasons why alteration should not be performed.
  8. Applicants who rent their homes must verify that they are permitted to have a dog and provide a landlord contact number on the adoption application. Landlords will be contacted in every case, without exception, to confirm their approval of the potential adoption.
  9. The  adopter must be at least 21 years old.
  10. We are solely committed to the dogs accepted into the rescue. We want to find them loving, permanent homes we do NOT foster to adopt we go to great lengths to place the right dog into the right family. We reserve the right to decline any adoption based on what we feel is in the best interest of the dog.
  11. Copies of all records will be provided to the adopter. All animals are spayed or neutered before adoption. Dogs will be current on vaccinations, tested for heartworm, and will be on a heartworm/flea/tick preventative medication During the summer months while in our care. If paying with check vet records and any other documents are released once check clears  up to  7 to 10 days.
  12. Prior to approval of any adopter, a home visit by a Better Days Are Coming Inc.. volunteer, or such other approved representative, is mandatory. We do not ship or deliver dogs and there is NO exception to this rule
  13. Accurate assessment of all dogs is an objective; however, Better Days Are Coming Inc.. carries no warranty of any kind, express or implied.
  14. If for any reason you are unable to keep the dog you adopted from Better Days Are Coming Dog Rescue inc. the dog MUST BE RETURNED TO BETTER DAYS. A 300.00 fine will be charged if dof is given away, sold or turned into the SPCA. If dog was given away or sold the names MUST be given and the adopted dog must be returned to Better Days.
  15. Better Days Are Coming Dog Rescue Inc. is the primary owner even after adoption and has the right to resume ownership if they feel dog is not being cared for,  kept current on vaccines, lacking vet care or truly unhappy in your home.
